About us

Whether on skis, with crampons and ice axes, or in climbing shoes, our aim is the same: to share original experiences with you, off the beaten track, and to find the best conditions, always bearing in mind our shared safety.

Our goal is to offer you fun adventures, where meeting people and spending time together matter just as much, if not more, than the activities themselves.

Team

Upguides is a company of five mountain professionals. This means you’ll be dealing directly with a guide, each one using their skills to help make your adventure happen.

We’ve surrounded ourselves with professionals who share our values and philosophy, because going with a guide is much more than just having someone show you the way.

Philosophy

The fact that you’re visiting this page means we certainly have a lot in common !
Ski touring, backcountry skiing, mountaineering and climbing are passions we share, without a doubt. Our dreams are made up of climbing sunny rock faces, making ski or snowboard tracks in light powder, glacial peaks, altitude, new adventures and discoveries. We’re here to help you realize your dreams, to guide you, to take care of your safety, and at the same time to pass on our knowledge and experience.

A Mountain Guide has undergone training certified by the UIAGM (Association Internationale de Guides de Montagne), enabling them to practice, guide and teach anywhere in the world, as long as there are mountains ! Summer and Winter alike, their skills cover all the activities practised in the mountains: ski touring, splitboarding, off-piste skiing, mountaineering, rock climbing, ice climbing, canyoning, via ferrata, the list goes on…

Meet us in Termignon (Val Cenis)

In 2024, we’ve invested in a new space, designed as a warm welcome and friendly meeting point. It will serve as a base for outings, a place to share information, and a place to strengthen the ties between you and us.

This new space is much more than just an office : it’s our base camp, our cosy corner, our little refuge at the foot of the summits. In short, it’s a welcoming, authentic place where we can share our passion and experience the mountains in a different way. Don’t hesitate to push open the door !

Emergency fund : financial and psychological support for our guides

The emergency fund of the Val Cenis Guides, created in 2024, offers psychological and financial support to its members and their families in times of hardship and difficulty. This support continues to adapt to the needs that come with accidents, illness, or loss. While financial help matters, it’s the solidarity that truly defines the association and makes a real difference.
